A 21-year-old man has been jailed for killing a man with one punch outside a Newcastle pub in a dispute over a pint.

Sean Sillet was refused a drink in the Beehive and took a pint belonging to a friend of his victim Kenneth Brough, the city's crown court heard.

A row broke out and Sillet attacked the 65-year-old, fracturing his skull. He died a week later.

Sillet of Hadston, Northumberland, admitted manslaughter and was jailed for five years and three months.

Sillet was supposed to be in the ring competing for heavy weight champion.
